Privacy Policy

This free FAA Part 107 study website is operated personally by Jeremy Delvaux, primarily for U.S. learners. For privacy questions or requests, email support@opensentry.org. This support address forwards to the operator’s personal inbox.
Learning without an account
You can study without signing up. Anonymous lesson progress, quiz and exam results, flashcard activity, and recent study activity are saved in your browser’s local storage, rather than in a cloud progress account. Unfinished exams remain on the device, including when you are signed in. Opening the website still sends ordinary web requests to our hosting provider.
Optional accounts and cloud progress
Supabase provides email/password authentication and stores signed-in study progress so you can restore it across devices. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth, not stored in study-progress records. Authentication uses session cookies to keep you signed in.
If you choose Google sign-in, Google and Supabase process the sign-in and supply account information such as your email address, account identifier, name, and profile image when available. We use that information to identify your account, not to access your Gmail or Google Drive.
Signed-in progress includes lesson completion and position, quiz and completed exam results, flashcard activity, and recent study activity. A browser cache supports local study and sync when connected. Eligible anonymous progress from the browser can be imported when you sign in; it is not uploaded merely because you visit the website.
Cookies, device storage, and offline use
We use authentication cookies for sign-in and local storage for study progress, unfinished exams, and sync state. A service worker can cache public course pages and assets for offline study. Authentication pages and account responses are excluded from the course cache.
The application does not include advertising pixels, session replay, or third-party analytics tools. These functional storage uses support sign-in, remembering your study work, and offline access. Blocking cookies or storage may prevent those features from working.
Signing out does not necessarily erase study caches. To remove this site’s local data, sign out, close other tabs for the site, and use your browser’s site-data settings to clear cookies, local storage, and cached website data for faa107training.org on each device. This also removes unsynced work and offline access. Clearing browser data does not delete your cloud account.
Service providers and support
Vercel hosts the website; Supabase provides authentication and cloud storage; Google processes sign-in if you select it. Hosting and authentication services process technical information such as IP addresses, request details, and security logs to deliver and protect the service. Information may be processed where those providers operate.
Supabase sends account-confirmation and password-recovery emails through Resend. Resend processes the recipient email address, message content, and delivery records to send and troubleshoot these messages. We do not enable email open or click tracking for these account emails.
If you email support, your email address, message, and our correspondence are processed through email services and the operator’s inbox to address your request. Do not send passwords or sign-in links. We do not sell your study or account information or use it for targeted advertising.
Provider information: Vercel Privacy Policy, Supabase Privacy Policy, Resend Privacy Policy, and Google Privacy Policy.
Retention, reset, and account deletion
Browser data can remain until you clear it or your browser removes it. Cloud account and progress records remain until removed; the application does not automatically delete inactive accounts. Support correspondence and provider logs or backups may be retained separately. We do not promise that deleting an account immediately removes every backup or security-log entry.
The dashboard’s Reset progress control clears study progress for the current account, or for the browser if you are signed out. It does not delete your account.
Request account deletion by emailing support@opensentry.org from the address associated with your account. We will verify that you control the account before deleting it and its associated cloud progress, then confirm the result. The link opens your email app; you must send the request. If you cannot access that address, contact us to discuss verification without sending passwords or identity documents unsolicited.
Account deletion does not erase data already stored in your browsers or delete your Google account. Clear site data on each device as described above. Contact us about access, correction, or other privacy requests; applicable rights depend on your circumstances.
